X Type

Those are crazy...i bet they sound awesome...same class as w7's and xxx's for sure...
Some would disagree because the XMAX is only 19.1 on the Type X. Honestly XMAX dosen't mean much... the L7 only has 13mm of XMAX and the old Strokers only had 5mm, so cuz of that those subs don't get loud and SPL is in the install anyways. The SQ on the sub is suppose to be amazing though, I should call around and see if any stores carry them to hear one.

Dude had 1 15" Stroker taking up the whole hatch of an older Ford Escort. I had to bail out of that car when the music went up, I couldn't even think. Those things had some massive bass. If xmax is everything then I'd think the newer subs pushing high xmax would be killing people lol

if you couldnt even think, how did you know to bail out??? just a question for ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just messin around.

nice lookin sub though.

Hoping to hear one of those Type X's soon.

Kind of off topic but on the same track of what ya'll were saying, Do you think that xmax has nothing to do at all with spl? So if you were to put two subs, one with more xmax than the other, in similar or same enclosures they would be just as loud as one another?

Since Xmax is linear throw, it doesnt mean the sub will just stop moving when it reaches that number...the sub can still move untill it will reach its mechanical limits (Xmech) or the limits of the motor (Xmag)...

^^^The reason why the Stroker was so loud. It might have had very little linear throw...but it had MUCH more left in it's suspension/motor. And, throw a low Q high BL sub into a ported enclosure......well you know what a Stroker is capable of.

Not to be an ***...but if it doesn't mean much...why'd you bring it up?

It didn't seem to me that the topic was headed in that direction...All that was said was, "They look to be in the same class as the w7, XXX, and the likes."

anyway...why stray any further off topic that we already have...
