Wut u guys think about sound stream stuff

I used to run ALL sound stream, had to Refrence 500's and a Refrence 200 running my mids and high's.

I wish I would NOT have blown one of the 500's up, I would still be running them today! I had 3 SPL 15's and had one of their T2 10" sub's.

I blew 2 of the SPL 15's off a single Refrence 500, the 3rd one was the charm, lucky for me cause the dealer told me to never come back to his store after I blew the 2nd one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yea, I was a noob back then AND young!

But Yea, Soundstream's older stuff was top notch back in the day, I have not run any of their new stuff except the T2 10", that little thing was a monster, I gave it its rms and it sounded like a 12" !

I'm running 4 of the SPLX 15's. GREAT subs. They get **** loud and handle the power with ease. They sound pretty good as well. About to give them 2K each and see if they can take em'.
I notice a lot of people are very general with their descriptions of how a sub 'sounds'.

sounds good? what exactly is 'good'?

Most people are refering to being satisfied with the performance of a product. It could sound like gravel sliding down a tin roof and if someones friends are impressed they will say "yeah it sounds good". I define good sound as a mostly flat response, that is not too peaky or everpowering of the the mids and highs.

I dont know if that was referenced to me or my subs, I hope not. It really depends on their enclosure to make them sound good or sloppy. I had 2 of my 4 of them in a 8Cube in the back of my Explorer and it sounded really nice. But them I put the same enclosure in the back of my bro's NX2000 and it was waaay louder, but dident sound as crisp. There are a lot of varibles when it comes to sound quality and how loud they get. I was just sayin that I love my SPLXs and they are excellent subs, espiecally for the money. I've got a couple pics in that link in my sig.
