I know, trust me. At least in PA, they're legally allowed to turn you into authorities for prosecution, no matter what value merchandise was taken, if it wasn't even removed from the store.

Like I said, if she signed a paper saying she had to pay the fee to the store and if she didn't she would be turned into authorities for further prosecution, they have every right to do so.

i'm not trying to be a dick, but as long as she pays the ticket the cops gave her, the criminal side of the case is over. the law you posted is for the crimnal ticket, not the civil suit.civil suits are not criminal. the worst they can do is garnish wages.

 
But still, lipgloss? What is this world coming to that people steal lipgloss (6 dollars)?
Know when you're at a grocery store and the cashier opens up your carton of eggs when you get to the till? I know some places still do this.

People pick a carton up off the shelf, crack an egg, bring it up the register, and save 50 cents on a ****ing dollar worth of eggs.

So nevermind six bucks.
