not so fast homie.... You know that it isnt all about the size of the coil....that the motor cooling.efficency had a lot to do with it as well....


mine handled 5k just fine...

Yes I understand plenty about motor cooling. I have not ever seen a 3" coil that can take a true 6,000 watts daily. If you have, show me.

i think you need more cone area than power though....

with that kind of power you can get away with a much smaller enclosure...

a soundstream XXX-15 could do that, when I tested mine in a POS box i made in 20 minutes it was hitting around 150, and that was with only at most 3000 watts.. I have one for sale if you're interested

The LVL 5 will not do 6k daily..... I would be scared to do 4k daily to them.... More of a burp monster than a Daily sub. Even though they can be a daily sub.

The SoundStream XXX will not handle more than 4.5-5 k daily..

With the 4 I broke... I just couldnt get them to handle anymore... even with multiple box changes.

A 4" coil wouldnt be a bad route... but there are a few 3" coils that can take a LOT of power daily

To be honest..... I have played with pretty much every super sub besides a few

only a few have held up to 4K +

daily 6000 watts rms, and the single fifteen box i have now is 4 cubic feet internal, can go a lil bigger, but like i said its in the trunk of an alero. . .

im willing to put in two twelves or 2 fifteens if i can make them fit . . .

I would do two 15" with the 3000 rms a piece... my reasoning for that is you will not run into problems with thermal handling... and more cone area= LOUDER

I heard those massive amps are pretty uneffiecient, and I don't think you have the electrical system to back them up. I'd work on the electrical first.

how would he fit 2 of those 15's in a trunk of an oldsmobile alero...are you just fcukin dumb....what are the dimensions of your trunk alero....then people can let you know what subs....and those massive amps are only giving you maybe 1500 each...so 3k is more of what you are getting.
