WTB: subwoofer amp

I was given an amp about a year ago that is about 800 rms @2 and it is starting to over heat frequently. I would like to get a knew amp to power my 12" pioneer champion pro dual 2 ohm subwoofer. I am a bit of a noob however I know enough to check that I wont destroy any of my gear.

My question for you is which amp would you recommend that does about 1000watts rms @1 ohm for $200 or less?

I really want to try to get more power not less. can you think of anything else. it can also be a 2ch bridgeable amp.

Memphis and the rockford power amps both make power at 1ohm. You can prob find one used on here

im not sure the exact model but it is a 2 ch bridgeable to 4 ohms and I have it running 1 12" sub now and it previously powered a kicker cvr on one channel.

What are peoples thoughts on power acoustik mono amplifiers. they seem very reasonable price.

Ive owned a Power Acoustik BAMF 2000.1D and it puts out around 1200 RMS @ 1 ohm. Nice Solid Amplifier. Two 40 Amp fuses, 4 AWG inputs. Very well built amplifier for the price.

I dont think 80 amps will hold 1200RMS. I maybe wrong but my Kicker needs 100amps for 1200

I have 50 holding 800 rms so i dont see how it wouldnt.
