my subs are dual 4 ohm.

Okay - well, parallel/parallel wired would make a 1 Ohm load (and that amp is spec'ed to be safe at 1 Ohm so I can't see that being a problem)

But at any rate I do believe we've likely found the source of your troubles....

ya about that do you think it would be better series or how it is? my first thought was that tha parrallel wiring was to much for the amp. but i guess not

A low preout voltage wont matter... in that instance you just wont be able to get full volume out of the amp.

Something else is the problem here...

your subs could possibly be out of phase, are they moving much at the point of things getting distorted?

A pair of Dual 4 Ohm subs wired parallel/parallel will yield a 1 Ohm load (safe for that amp - rated output being 1.6kW at that load)

At that load your Zeus is rated to feed 800 watts apiece to each sub which should suit them just fine. Wired any other way and you'll decrease the output to each sub.

switch the + and - on one of your woofs...

I'd bet your woofs are out of phase.

ok thnx. it just sounded to my like my old setup was sounding louder. which + and- do i switch? also would these subs sound better in my car or in an ford expedition? cause those things rattle the hell outa it.

the + and the - for the sub period, leave the coils alone.
