If you haven't done the big 3, you should stop right now before doing ANYTHING else and do it. If you don't do the big 3, your system is going to be choking for current...all current has to come from ground to the positive...gotta have the ground wire be as thick as your power wires, or it doesn't help at all that your power wires are huge. Do the big 3 and you may find that the dimming lessens massively; it made a big difference in my vehicle.

I'm not too terribly worried about it at the moment cause even when turned up, my system sounds like crap. My head unit will be here tomorrow, my flush mount install kit should be here in a couple weeks, and I've still got to track down a C2RGM24 harness and decide on an amp install kit so I can get everything installed, not to mention find a how to on bypassing the factory amp, so I've got some time to get this done But it will be done before the head unit goes in!! I just want to keep everything uniform so I'll probably wait to get the amp install kit before proceeding with the Big 3 just to make sure all my grounds/power leads match

I had a similar problem in my last car and wasn't running that much power. The Big 3 knocked out almost all the dimming and ended up costing about $20 or so. Get this done, see what happens, and then go from there. No sense in pissing away good $$$ for something you don't need right now.
