Stupid whine

I am getting the mystical whining feedback from my front speaks. Front speaks are new, and run on a separate amp. All the wires including speaker wire runs along pass side of car. As does the wiring for the sub amp. I have the power and ground down driver side. I did run ground straight off batt. Now I don't have the sub and amp hooked up yet because I wanted to adjust front speakers first. I took the ground off batt, and grounded it in the trunk. Since doing that, it helped a little, but is still there. I've installed a lot of systems, and am aware of this problem, but haven't had it. I figured wiring so power was away from every thing else, that it would keep from having this problem. What more should I try? Suppressor in the audio cables? Thanks
