how sure are you? the other guy said its proven that the r's are louder.

now remember everyone, i have a DB drag commin up with the kid in the hummer (read my thread from yesterday) and im going to beat him but dont know what to get.

If you were going for strictly spl, I would get a BTL from ficaraudio.com, a spl-12 from mach5audio.com or and hdc from audioque.com. All of those would get super loud and are fairly cheap for spl subs

These are also subs that you need a lot of power for. If I were to replace my R with these and only using the 2.5kW that I have on tap my score would drop. However, if I had quite a bit more power they would spank the R.
