search....has been asked 10000 times...host your pic at imageshack.us...make sure it fits the size requirements..and go to user control panel and go to signature and copy andpaste the direct link into something like this

upload your pic on http://www.imageshack.us. copy the direct link. then go to edit your sig. type

just go to edit avatar in the user cp and upload a pic.
