I have a MA audio 2 channel 500 watts RMS bridged amp so that should be able to power it pretty good.

with 358 posts you'd think you'd know that ported=better output. I guess i shouldnt overestimate anyone these days.

Yes, a bigger (hopefully ported) box would give you better performance. Just be sure to build it to the subs specs
