would i gain anything by using a 8" or 10" woofer in my doors ?

hi guys,

was thinking if adding a 8" or maybe 10" woofer in my doors would be a good idea ?

i have for my front stage..

4 sq pro 6.5 ( 2 in each door )

i have 1 set of sq comps in my center console ( will be removing them soon ) but the tweeters are in my a-pliers.

sub stage.

sq hdc3 15" will be getting another one.

mid stage.

r.f. 6x9 2-way ( sound good ) but want to replace them with a set of 6.5's and tweeters.

and was just thinking should i get a set of woofers for my doors?

if so what do you recommend ? under $100 .

or should i skip them.

im looking for spl but sounding good.

right now its loud as hell, bass rattles my truck. but looking for more.

If you're gonna get another 15 I think you can skip the woofers in the doors.

add more SQ 6.5's, put them in the console and to replace the 6x9's. Put 1-2 AQ supertweeters in each A pillar. That will easily keep up with 2 15's and be quite loud.

And yes you could/would gain with bigger mids in the doors but there's no reason to do it with the set up you currently have...

i was thinking about it because i think im missing some higher bass note plus was thinking or the wow factor .

and im going to replace my 6x9 with the sq 6.5 and tweeters.

also thinking about adding another 6.5 in my lower front of the doors. that would give me 3 6.5 in each door.

and ya going to get another set of tweeters for my front. i have 1 pair on my a-pillars .

More mids won't magically give you upper bass notes that are missing.

Raise the LPF for your subs. Try 100 or 125Hz and see if that fills in the missing upper bass notes.

What is your enclosure tuned to? I've never had an issue with AQ/SQ subs not playing up high, but I don't tune below 35Hz.
