I've got an 07 silverado with hid lights in stock housing's. I like them the way they are now but I've never seem hid's in car w/ a projector setup.

My advice is from hearsay/online readings. I've read that hid setup's in a standard housing is nothing but scattered light. I couldn't tell you any different without lying to you.

Those are not projector headlights at all. You will not find what you are looking for for less than $500 I would think. HID retrofit is you're first option.

you are not going to find projectors in that size headlight, other than buying a projector light and modifying them and putting the proectors in. I had an old car with sealed beams and use ones like you posted and it helped a bunch. Also if your light sucks measure voltage at the lights, if its low add bigger grounds to the lights like 12awg and add relays into the circuit.
