I dont listen to a lot of rap but a lot of it sucks out loud. It only good for its bass lines. The only really good talented rapper I can think of is eminem. He seems to put a lot more meaning into his songs, except the ones that are fed to mainstream idiots (*** Like That, Just Lose It). Guess you gotta get paid some how though.

eminem isnt the only "really good talented rapper". by far. there are far more than just him that are very good. mainstream wise id sy method man has the potential to be 2x what eminem is. as well as common and mosdef and talib kweli (blackstar in general) but they fell off when the blackstar deal fell off IMO.

in general all of hip hop is gaining potential as a whole. I think there are far more very nice artists out now than 5 years ago. Im talking about people most people dont have a clue about. A lot of these guys can be found on sadbox automatic, cdbaby, and myspace (i know its crazy yu can find good shit on myspace of all places)

Saul Williams (watch SLAM, its a DOPE movie), Sage Francis, Madd Illz, GoodWord, Thesis, Del the Funky Homosepian, Mr. Lif, theres tons.....
