I didnt feel like hiding anything because its coming out in a month. The only thing staying is the preamp. All speakers are being replaced ' date=' and my sony amp is going in my car. this is just a temporary car while i get a new motor for my buick.[/quote']
LMAO!!!!
that guy actually made my ''door jam install'' look professional..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/santa.gif.e1ec9cf2e0a0dd232ad35aa594a126d0.gif
Then car audio isnt for you.don't hate. I'm lazy, too.
It was directed at whoever didnt do an install properly because they are lazy. Was that directed at me?
No that isnt proper. Its lazy so my previous statement applies to you as well.not me then. ;] its all secure and sufficient. just didn't wanna hide all the cables cuz i'm upgrading most of it in a month or so.
thats not very fair........ its clear any form of ''social interaction'' isnt for you, but you dont hear us bleeting on about it.Then car audio isnt for you.

So you mean to tell me you would "properly" run 18 gauge speaker wire under carpet and through the door boots ' date=' when you plan on putting 14 gauge in within a month or so , and drill firewall hole and use a 8 gauge grommet when you plan on upgrading to 4 gauge in a month or so , and build a quality box for subs that are being replaced in a week , hide cheap RCA's under the carpet when you plan on getting quality rcas within a month or so? Why would i do all that work just to do it again in a month? I just needed to make noise and i was bored ,so i went out and made some noise. LOL.[/quote']
No Im saying I would buy the proper wire, speakers, build the box, etc right the first time so I didnt have to deal with it again. It saves time doing it right the first time then it does to do it wrong and fix it.
and i'm not fixing anything , i'm replacing everything. except the preampNo Im saying I would buy the proper wire, speakers, build the box, etc right the first time so I didnt have to deal with it again. It saves time doing it right the first time then it does to do it wrong and fix it.
except the amp and preamp. i decided to keep the 5540F (built in crossovers) in this car and use the 5540 (no crossovers) in the buick because the deck in the buick is 3 way active. This car will get a new entry level deck , a pair of 5.25" vifa/audax 2 ways from parts express , and a JBL GT1000 10" is in the mail now. All the wiring is getting changed out , and i'm gonna do a box in the spare tire area in the trunk.your upgrading everything then ?
