**** you should turn it around, put the seats down, and put the port at the bottom

i thought of that, but i often times have passengers and didnt want to have the seats down a lot, so thats why i did a rear facing setup

That is going to rattle your hatch like no other facing backwards. You may however loose some spl that way also.

im not in any contests other than parking lot or red light battles, so SPL isnt a big concern, im more a loud to the ear guy

Yeah I see your from Nashville. I had a few red light battles when I was going to school there.

I don't mean SPL as far as competition. You are actually going to be muffling your sound with the box being as tall as is it is.

but if i turn it around... the two subs on the bottom will be totally behind the seat.. and the top subs will be partly behind it

but seriously, since it's not a wall (not sealed off) i don't think it'll be too bad facing backwards.

just think about people with large boxes in trunks. i know there's probably no more than an inch of space anywhere around my box (and it has to go through the rear deck and back seat).
