Woofer has been making "thumping" sound

My sub has been doing this for a while, making a pretty audible thumping sound when I turn my engine on. And when I twist my keys to turn my engine off, it would make a louder THUMP. The noise seemed to more or less be in synch with my engine.

A couple days ago, I turned my engine off, making a loud thump, and my sub and amp stopped working. I played around with the wires and everything is secure. Haven't checked my ground connection because I'm unable to get to it, it's underneath my box in the spare tire well. I can't get my amp to even turn on any more.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's more like a problem with your amp, your head unit, or the wiring of the amp.
