OK, so i have a question that may sound stupid, does wood thickness of the box make a difference in sound and overall bass response?
would you say .5 is to thin?3/4" MDF is most commonly used. the 5/8" MDF is good for under 1kw systems. You will still need bracing on the inside of the box no matter what thickness you choose. you can double up on the baffle to help with flexing also.
it would be 2 Boston Acoustic G5 off of 500 Watts Each. so the enclosure would need to be 2.0-2.4ishhow many watts, how many speakers ,what size box
BJ! Where've you been? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifOn a box like that, I would say 1/2" material would be ok. The panels are relatively small in size. If you use 1/2", just be sure to properly brace it and I bet you will be just fine.
I have been swamped with builds lately. Not posting here too much, as I only post my builds here for members. I have had a couple builds going on here lately though. All my other builds are up over at SSA.BJ! Where've you been? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifI miss seeing your builds.
