Wondering what size port to use

Im building a 6.8 cubic foot box, before displacement. Its gonna be an areoport box but just wondering what size ports to use. Either 1 8 inch or a few 4 inch. Thanks for any input.

8" probably won't be QUITE enough... what kinda sub though?

I figure after port and sub displacement that puts me around 6 cubic foot, and with the 8 inch areo its almost 8^2" of port per cubic foot. I did a quick search online and saw a few things saying that the 8 inch port would be ok, but didnt know how true it was.
