Try the largest alt you can fit before wasting money on batteries. One under the hood is always a good thing though. I run close to 6000 rms and I could pull out my two 67ah batteries in the back and be fine. The 500 amp draw mentioned is worse case and you will never see that daily. I don't drop under 14.1v full tilt, that's never going to touch the batteries, all they do is kill gas mileage. I've been thinking of pulling them out but they actually are part of the install.

Yea it was the quickest and simplest way for me to explain it. You've got to take in many other factors (Thank goodness for efficient amps...), but its still the same principle.

a pair of z4s and a solid 3500 amp (AQ/SQ, SD, Ampere...) will do the trick for you. get an upgraded alt and batteries or just batteries and you should be fine electrical wise. not 100% sure, but that Nissan should have an ok size alt for stock (100+ Amp)

and know that a pair of 18s is going to take up your whole car when you factor in the amp and batts

if you are wanting to spend a whole lot in batteries and alternator and everything else associated with a 6500watt amp, go for it.

im running the IA3.4s right now and they are nice. and they have full crossover capabilities if you want to run active.
