Wiring Up Myself -- What do I need??

ya, knu are really cheap and good, especially for the price. how many amps do you have? if you have the one you dont need a distro block. do you plan on getting more amps in the future? if so it wouldnt hurt to install one

Just have 1 amp, so I guess I dont need a disto block?

If the wire kit doesnt include RCA cables, how much are they?

well do you plan on getting another one later?

cause if you put a distro in now then you wont have to worry about putting one in later and tearing everything apart.

and both of those kits come with rca's

they range from $10- $50

Nah don't plan on another amp anytime soon.

Alright, well I guess I'll go with the first one. But isnt 0/1 guage wire better? or do I not really need that thick of wire

alright, honestly i dont know. im sure it is but couldnt tell ya.

it wouldnt hurt to get 0/1 instead, as long as you arnt on a budget. gives you more options down the road, at least the power will be there if you need it.

that one on knu is alright, doesnt come with rca's, and it is there lower quality wire (just not as flexible). so you would have to buy some rca's. and remote wire, but you can just get that at a hardware store. and it doesnt come with speaker wire either. ive only used knu's kits so im not familiar with any other. just need to do research

this is what you need:

power/ ground wire

remote wire

inline fuse holder with fuse

rcas's

speaker wire

thats it, just compare different kits, but that 4 awg kit has all of this.

or you could piece your own kit together from their products. it will be alittle bit more expensive, but you will be able to get all of the stuff to your specifications. make sure the rca's are long enough. those go from the head unit to the amp, incase you didnt know. dont want to buy the kit and have everything too short

I dont think it will be too short. The subs and amp are going in my back seat. And I dont really have the $$ right now to peice my own together. Just need to get my system at least crankin'
