hi i had a question ' hope people can help me out ' i currently have 2 american bass xfls 10s wired to 1 ohm to a memphis mj1.2200 newer model ' but i want something louder and play lower so i wanted to get 2 new sundown x12 or x15s but my question is i wanted to get 2 dual 2 ohm subs wired to .5 but idk how the box rise works ... you guys think my memphis will handle .5 ohm load i have the electrical to back it up '... even though later i would buy a second memphis expensive to link them ....

vehicle is a 2007 ford f150 extended cab .

Bro if you paid anywhere near msrp for that amp I would sell it before I bought another one at that price. You can easily get double that power (even more) for the price of even one of those amps.

Running amps at half an ohm is not really a good idea for daily use for most people. What is your electrical like? Running at half ohm becomes much less efficient on your electrical system. I don't know that amp, but I always say if you half to ask that question, it's probably not a good idea for you. Plus if that amp is worth what woofers etc is selling it for you could sell it and buy a 4k and not have to worry.

i got 4 batteries ' 240 mechman ' 2 runs to back all welding cable 2/0 ' big 3-4 ' voltage stays from 14.4 to 13.6-5 on 27 hz ' at idle while driving stays solid 13.9....

the amp got it on ebay on a pawnshop its in great condition no scratches at all ' got it for 400 bucks ' wont lie its to much for my little subs ' my gain wont pass quarter gain it will start pushing the xfls hard ' box is tune to 32 hz ' headunit is a pioneer avh-5800bs

If you can't afford to break your amp you really shouldn't wire below rated safe impedance. Adding extra batteries doesn't make .5 ohm any friendlier on semiconductors.

You will gain little and risk much.

so i would be better on buying 2 dual 4 ohm x15s ? instead of dual 2ohms ?
Dual 2 ohm subs and buy a Brazilian amp that makes max power at 2 ohm or take your chances with one of the Korean boards that people have had luck with, but just so you know low impedance is a craps shoot and very strenuous on equipment.

so i would get 2 2 ohm sundownx15s and wired them in 2 ohm ?

and how much can this subs handle ? i want a amp that is efficient box has to be made but was thinking of doing 4th or just ported tune to 30 hz going on back of my f150 extended cab i dont want to loose my back window its my work truck
