I'm planning to run four Planet Audio 8" Nos series subs off a MA Audio SY5011DX.

My question is has anyone achived better S/Q wiring for a higher impedance than a lower impedance?

Say

1ohm vs 4ohm

Or is doubling the distortion always worth double the power?

500w vs 1000w

.5% vs 1%

impedence does not affect sq and your speakers should not be distorting. read the gain setting tutorial.

By lowering impedance you do lose damping factor, but with most amps it is a non issue because they have so much now a days, and even if damping factor is lost, you most likely wouldn't be able to hear it.

So wire at 1 ohm and keep the gain down.
