Wiring Subs

one tcup/sub. so, 2 tcups.

option #2 will give you @500w/sub. so, on one sub the - of one vc is connected to the + of the other vc. then take the - of the remaining vc and run it out to - on the the tcup. take the remaining positive to the positive on the tcup. run those out the first tcup to the tcup on the second sub and do the same thing. connect that tcup out to the amp.

What does "Run those out the first tcup to the tcup on the second sub and do the same thing" mean. Don't I have to connect both subs together though or is that only if I was using 1 terminal cup????

I made 2 terminal cups in my box so I connect - of 1 VC to + of other vc, then - of the 1VC to the - on t-cup. then remaining + to t-cup and just do the same to the other one. right??? do I have to connect the t-cups together at all????

yes. if you already have two tcups, that is best. otherwise you would be running wires from chamber 1, through the wall, to chamber two. also you would need to caulk the hole to ensure no leaking. so, your fine.

yes, after you wire the vc's of sub 1 and sub two, connect tcup 1 to tcup two. then run that out to the amp. if you don't connect the tcups together

(- to -, + to +) , then only one sub will be powered by the amp. you have a mono amp, so it is looking at driving these two subs as one.

If your box has a divider you will not be able to wire the subs as posted. If it does not have a divider you only need to use one terminal cup. My suggestion is to use the one closer to the amp. Leave the other unconnected. Also what amp are you using? If it is a mono amp you will again need to wire like you atated above. If its a 2 channel you will have to wire it differently for several reasons. 1) it may not be 2 ohm mono stable 2) you will get a different ohm load if you wire it up as a 2 channel.
