Wiring Subs?

Hey all!! Curious...

I have looked at all the wiring diagrams and understand how to wire DVC subs. However, I have 2 10" Infinity 1052w's (2 or 8 ohms) and the amp Im going to keep them on for the time being is a RF 200.2. According to RF's website, the 2 channel bridged is 4 ohms, and if I wire each sub seperatly per channel I will be at 2 ohms but less power. I just wanted to know whats the safest, and most powerful way to wire them? I wasnt sure if its ok, to wire them bridged since the subs say 2 or 8 ohms?

Thanks

Personally I'd wire each sub for 8 ohms, then run them to the bridged amp in parallel for a 4-ohm load. You could wire them for 2 ohms and run the amp in 2-channel mode, and they'd get the same power; but for subwoofers I prefer a bridged amp because then you can be certain each sub is getting the exact same signal.

Bridge the amp, then wire them like this:

So even though the subs say 2 or 8 ohms, its okay then to wire them as 4? I thought that was the way I was going to wire them, just wasnt sure if it was cool for the subs, or the amp.

Thanks

You're missing the point. You can wire each sub for 2 ohms or 8 ohms; but you have two subs. If you wire each sub to 8 ohms per the diagram, and connect them in parallel to the amplifier, the result is a 4 ohm load.
