enough battery

i've been blowing my planet audio amps pretty fast.

i think i was low on amperage with just a stock battery and the kinetik 800

i also have the big 3 and 2 2 farad caps.

but now i have a optima yellow top for hondas under the hood

my kinetik hc 800 and a

STINGER SPV44 in back

and added a 3 farad cap along with the 2-2's

will this be enough to keep me from screwing my amps up.

also i will be running each one at 2 ohms instead of 1 amp at 1 ohm.

should help some. depends what is really going on in the system though where the dips are and what is the actual culprit. rear batteries might not be grounded well http://www.kinetikaudio.com/manuals/khccells.pdf for laffs i metered my truck with a regular ground on an ac mic and did a 130 same set up with ground for the amp back too the battery i did a 130.5 lol nothing was "exact or official" but the system ran more smoothly after i moved the ground to the battery it would do the same thing for extra batteries if your rear ground isnt the best (if thats what you did.

yes i have battery grounded in the rear.

but i'm not very impressed with the kinetik hc 800

thats why i went with stinger this time.

but i'm just wondering if i have enough battery for those 2 amps at 2 ohm.

If youre getting 1250 RMS @ 1 ohm on each of those amps, that 800 is way too small.

Get like a 2400...

Sell the caps, and upgrade to one of those. You won't be disappointed. You also might need a new alternator..

well i do need a high out put alternator.

but i just bought the yellow top for under the hood.

and just bought the stinget battery.

will that be enough ?

i plan to charge the batts alot and only play system for short periods of time.

i am looking into a alternator but can't really find crap for honda.

if i get another battery i think i add another stinger and ditch the HC 800

with 2000 watts its too small of a battery 800 is good for 800 watts unless you have other batteries and a hi output alt. i would also venture to guess the stinger battery is to small as well.
