Wiring stereo directly to 2nd battery

Hey guys, I am installing a stereo system in my boat. I want to run all pieces direct to 2nd battery. Can anyone tell me how to connect the head unit directly to 2nd battery?

well what you could do ir un power and ground to the battery, and then run the red acc. wire to battery + and put an inline toggle switch so you can shut the deck off

Thanks for the info really appreciate it. The system is in a boat so I want the 2nd battery so I have original battery power when I start the boat back up. Anyway, basically I just run the head unit power wire right to the power post on battery. With a fuse in line? What watt fuse?

most aftermarket decks have an inline fuse, but for that small of wire something small will do
