Wiring speakers with Orion d2400 amp?

Hi all. A little confused here. I have a BXi 1606. It does 1600 @ 1 ohm. I am running two 4ohm DVC subs to it that I have wired to 1 ohm with a single pair of speaker leads coming from my sub box. The amp has 2 channels with neither designated as the channel to use for one pair of speaker leads going to it.

Manual says that the two channels are wired in parallel internally. That is fine and dandy if I want to use both speaker leads. But what if I want to use one pair of leads only? Does it matter which pair I use from the amp or do I somehow have to use both leads and rewire my subs to have two pair of speaker wires coming from my sub box? Thanks all.

It will not matter. the amp's speaker inputs are wired together, hook your speaker up to one of the channels, and the amp should push at a one ohm load if you have two DVC 4 ohm subs, and they are wired correctly. Also, I would advise that you not wire both of your speakers together like that, in case something goes wrong with one of them, then the other will be sure to follow.
