what should i use as wire o wire both of these to batt would 12 ga work and would i need a fuse if so what size. If i could avoid a distro block it would be nice

Yes, you want to fuse them. Doesn't have to be anything big at all....just a small 3A or so fuse would be good.

Wire size....10ga or 12ga should be fine. There isn't going to much current flowing through there at all. A few amps at most.
