wiring new amp

I have a amp in my back for my sub, and i was wondering instead of running a new remote and power wire for another amp (4 channel) can i just hook another wire to where my remote wire is hooked up to the sub amp and run it to the new amp and same with the power wire. I have a 4 gauge to the sub amp so could i run a 8 gauge to the 4 channel amp by just hooking that up to the (+) terminal of the sub amp?

I'd use a relay for the remotes, but you might be able to get away with jumping off the primary amp's remote. As far as power goes, get a distribution block and go that route.

I ran a remote wire from one amp to the other. I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but I haven't had any problems.
