Wiring hu

usually there is a wiring diagram for the HU wiring harness printed on the top of the unit, (at least thats how it was for my alpine and my friends pioneer), as for the truck, usually the colors match up for the speakers, and then usually yellow goes to power, black either is ground, or ground your HU to the chassis, and then there will be a remote wire and a few other accessory wires. when you purchase a wiring harness, they come with wiring diagrams.

I have all of the speakers wired but im still confused about the other wires on my new hu there are 4 wires and on the cars hu there are 6 what do i do

i alreaty have all the speakers wired. I dont see the solid blue wire. Ive got the ground now but is the yellow wire the power even though it has a black stripe

the black wire is ground

the orange yellow and green wires all carry a charge

green wire carries a constant charge which probably means it is the clock and settings power wire

other 2 wires arent charged

also what does remote and accessory mean b/c on the hu it says the red wire is accessory but on website it says 12 volt. The stock has 2 power wires but new one has only 1 should i splice a 3 2gether. Im really Confused.

There is an adapter harness that you needed to buy... so you didnt have to go through this hack and test job.

it simply plugs right into your existing harness.

What make, model, and year is your car?

EDIT:

nevermind on that, heres the one you need from Metra 70-1770
