wiring help

the saz 3k is not a 2 channel amp, it is mono. there are 2 sets of speaker terminals but they are connected in parallel inside the amp, this is the 4th or 5th time i have heard this lately, i thought it was common sense, guess i was wrong.
so just hook it on one side?

just be very careful with the gain. if you give it a clean 3k in the proper enclosure you will love that sub.

and make sure you back that amp up with some serious electrical upgrades. big three and 1-2 power runs in 1/0 and 2-3 group 31 batts in the back. possibly a H/O alt depending on what your factory one is.

Don;t mean to thread jack but I'ma do it anyway! What does the HU power matter? Is there really a big difference between 2, 3, 4, 5v? Always wondered.
doesnt make a whole lot of difference. a lot of it is a marketing tool. a lot of people say the higher the pre out volatge the better the sq but some of the most coveted sq decks have 200mv preouts.

op do you even have the electrical to support the 3000D?

I'd agree with this. Any difference in SQ likely can't be heard by 99% of members here. If anything though, it allows you to keep the gain slightly lower letting the amp run cooler. That's why I like higher voltage preouts. I'd love to say my SQ is the shit as a result, but I don't hear a difference lol.

i had the exact opposite happen with mine, a lot of amps dont like the 6.5 volt preouts my 860 has

Never had that issue but the 4V preouts on my current unit are the highest level I've ever used. From a direct drop in stand point, I was able to drop the gain a slight bit, nothing major, but slight. I have yet to meter my preouts to see what they actually put out. For all I know, they're putting out closer to 2V then 4V.
