Wiring Help

I have a 2006 Chevy 2500HD and a Dual XDM6820 cd player.

The cd player's display is very faint, & the brightness flickers periodically. The backlit buttons are bright, just not the display.

I was told on another post that I may have hooked up the illumination wire wrong, but in the manual for the cd player there is no "illumination wire", just a ground, accessory, & memory.

I don't have a wiring diagram for the truck, and was wondering if someone could tell me how I should have these wires hooked up.

sounds like you hooked up the vehicle's illumination wire to the CD player's 12v wire. Try googling for newer model chevy wiring diagrams.
