Wiring Help

Hello newby here. Ok here is my deal I have an 03 Mazda 6 with Bose system. I have an aftermarket sub and amp that I hooked up in this way. I tapped in the wiring harness before the stock Bose Sub with a Y adapter spiced into the harness

for the RCA inputs for my amp. Now I didnot connect the grounds coming out of the y adapter as I was told I didnt need to. The sub works but even with the Bass boost on and the HU cranked it doesnt seem tohave the power it did in my last vehicle. Now today I talked to someone who said I need Line Level Converter. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

you need a low line converter.

spend the $25 and do it right

L.O.C. - line output converter, make sure it is an adjustable one.
