wiring help

I just bought two 6" LED tubes to put under my dash. I'm not sure if the kit comes with instructions on installation though. It comes with an on/off switch, mounting hardware, the two tubes, and the 12V adapter. I really dont want to use the adapter because I think it will look lame. How/where can I mount the switch and how do I hook up the wiring without using the adapter?

I also bought a 15" neon tube for the trunk to provide some cool light on my subs and amp. How would I wire that in? Also is there any way to disable/disconnect the trunk light and wire in the tube so it turns on when the trunk opens? (like the one in there does now)

I have an 01 civic sedan by the way, dont know if that matters with wiring etc.

Put the switch wherever you want. Cut the adapter off and then find out which lead is positive and which is negative. Connect them to the battery and wire the switch inline with it.

Thanks a lot! Any idea if its ok to cut the wires to the trunk light and connect them to the other neon tube in the trunk so that the neon tube will be the trunk light rather than the one that already exists?
