My friend just got 2 AudioBahn ALUM12Q's and hes stupid for buying that pos, and their SVC 6ohms... as he says, i cant find shit on these subs and he got a Phoenix Gold R15.0:1 so atleast hes good there... anyway to wire these subs into 2ohm load? im thinking no?

Nope... 12ohms or 3ohms

yeah thats what i told him, but now he now says the subs are dual 6ohms

them being dual 6ohms he can wire ONE of the subs to 2ohms and if he uses 1 he can wire to 1 ohm

I dont get what youre saying there...

But for DVC 6, and two subs, he could get a total load of either 1.5ohms, 3ohms; or 6ohms, 24ohms.

He should go with the 1.5ohm load...

And I just noticed that amp isnt stable 2ohm stable mono, I dont know if it would be 3 ohm stable... Could try it, but tell your friend hes an idiot for buying the subs.

And the specs of that amp say its only 2ohm stereo stable, 4ohm mono.

Who would buy DVC 6 ohms anyway?...

For some odd reason Abahn makes many of thier products with wierd R values. Maybe they get the material cheap or feel it gives them the edge when it comes to versatility //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Dont know why though seeing as how most amps dont say "Xwrms @ 3ohms." Never seen an amp put out max power @ 3ohms either.

JL is the same way. Wierd ohm configurations. Forcing you to run 3 speakers!?

Have him run each on there own channel wired up to 3ohms.
