Hey guys I have a sub that's a dual 1 ohm voice coil and also have a 2 channel amp that's only stable at 4 ohms bridged. I would like to know how to wire the dual 1 ohm voice coil sub to 4 ohms if that is even possible. If you could explain that to me or show me a diagram it would really help out.

not possible.. You would either get .5 ohm or 2 ohm.. You could get a roll of 14-16 gauge speaker wire that is like 50 feet long rolled on a spool to add resistance and raise the impedance to 4 ohm. Might need to be longer or shorter of a spool of wire. Just get a dmm and measure the ohms on the wire from the end of the spool after you connect the wire from the speaker to the spool.

Start ith 50' and if the resistance is above 4 ohm then shorten the spool, if its lower then lengthen the spool. Only way i know that works

I would sell the amp and get one that will work or sell the sub before i rigged up a spool of wire lol

What kind of.sub and amp are we talking about here?

I so wanna try this for sh*ts and giggles!!

its the old school way homie! its just a "coil" that adds resistance and its a lot cheaper than a new amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
