So I just got my wiring kit in and have a few questions. This is probably obvious stuff but oh well. First off, you do have to run wire inside of the sub box from the sub, to the terminal cup, then so on correct? And how do you connect the wire to the sub? I have an RL-p. Thanks. Is there a guide or something on how to wire? Step by step? Thanks lol. And what are the RCA's for?

I wish I could help ya more but i gotta leave so I'll leave it to everyone else to help, but the impediance is what ohm load you are planning on showing the amp.

I got a Knu 4 awg kit. Where does the ground wire go? How many wires do you have to run to the batt? Which one is + and -..? When wiring it to 1 ohm..you just wire it all inside of the box?

Lets start at the begining...

How many subs do you have, what are the Ohms, are they Dual Voice Coils(DVC) or single(SVC) what is the RMS of ea. sub?

What Amp do you have, give specs...

Go buy a cheap digital multimeter (DMM) to keep around. It will come in handy when working with electrical. You can get one for under $10.

Wire the subwoofer with speaker wire, usually 12 or 14awg (gauge). You can wire then to the terminal cup or drill a hole in your box. If you drill through your box, make sure you seal it up so air cant escape from there.

1. Firewall - The "wall" between you and the engine

2. Ground - Your whole car is grounded. One of the cables from your negative battery terminal is connected to your frame

3. Power wire - This is where your amp is getting it's power. You need to run this from your battery to the amp. When going through the firewall, put on a grommet so it doesnt have a chance of tearing and touching the metel of the firewall.

4. Fuse - This protects the wire in case of a short. The fuse should be as close to the battery as possible.

5. Speaker wires - Connect your subwoofer to the amp

6. Ground - Connect a wire from your amp to the chassis of a car. DO NOT use a seat belt bolt. Sand the paint off in an area to your liking and use a screw to bolt it down. The shorter, the better.

7. RCA - This is how your subwoofer will get it's signal. Connect this to head unit (hopefully it has a subwoofer preout) and the the amp.

8. Remote wire - This is how your amp knows when to turn on. It sends a small signal every time the HU is on.

The amp kit you bought (if you havent yet) should include everything needed.

Dont mind the part about bridging.
