So i got everything over the week and go into get my subs installed today and the place ran out of O gauge and said total install would be like $370. Im deciding to do it myself. I just need to know of everything i need before i go shopping. I have 2 15' L7's and a zx2500 and an optima yellow top with factory head unit. I think I am going to run the amp off the battery in my trunk so i am not sure but i think i need about 9 ft of 0 gauge wire, RCA adaptor, RCA cable(12 Ft) , speaker wire, and than random mounting hardware. So is their anything im missing and how do I wire the RCA cables from the stock HU? Also how do I run the REM from the factory HU? Thanks in advance. Any help you can offer ASAP is greatly appreciated.

Your going to need power and ground wire to run from your main battery to your battery in the back, and then some more from the battery in the back to your amp. If your using your factory headunit, your going to need a Line-Out convertor to convert a set of speaker-wire into an RCA signal; and then run a set of RCA's from it to your amp. Your also going to need a remote lead from your factory headunit to your amp...something along the lines of 18ga wire.

Thanks. Is it neccessary to run the power and ground wire to the battery in the back and if so what size wire should i use? Also where do i connect the line out converter? And where does the remote wire connect to on the head unit?

Yes, power and ground in 1/0 to the battery in the trunk. Fuse each side of the + cable with 250a fuses.

Line out converter would tap into your rear speakers.

best place to put the remote wire is to go into the fuse box, and use a piggy back connector on a 12v+ Switched fuse. Either that or if you wanted to you could tap into the 12v+ switched power wire for your radio.

Sorry I know i am asking alot of noob questions but how or what is the best way to access the firewall? Thanks so much guys.
The best way to get through the firewall in my experience is simply through a factory grommet...just take a piece of PVC pipe, pop it through and run the wires through it. Take the PVC out though, its simply there to create a hole...

also how many feet of O gauge wire in total do i need and does anybody know a good place to find it I am having quite a bit of trouble.
Depends on the car...anywhere b/w 12'-17' is typical. If you dont know for sure, just get 17' and use the rest to upgrade your grounds in the motor compartment...
