I am going to be getting a FI SSD 18" in the near future.

after searching the forum i have yet to find a straight answer. I have a two channel amp that puts out 480 RMS@2 ohms in each channel. if I bridge it to 4 ohms I'm only getting 600RMS. so here's my question....the sub is a dual 2 ohm, so can I wire each voice coil to a channel of the amp or should I just wire in series into a four ohm load? if I do wire each voice coil into a channel, do I need to take any steps of precaution? thanks.

u dont need to do that just wire the positive and negative from one of the sides to one amp and then wire positive and negative from the other side to the other amp....that is if if is a dual voice coil
