Hey its the new guy, but i was wondering and tried to do some searching but wanted some input on my future system. My friend is going to hook me up with 2 06 15 Inch Kicker L7's but there Dual 4 ohm, and i currently have a kicker kx2500.1 so this means I can only run the pair at 4 ohm or 1 ohms, i doubt they will reach there full potential at 4 ohm, but will i be safe running them at 1 ohm daily? or should i just sell the amp and get something 1 ohm stable that puts out 2000 - 2500 watts

They won't read their full potential - but they'll get pretty loud.

However, to use the full potential - sell it off and get a 1 ohm stable amp. It'll be better - the kicker's tend to be hit and miss on whether they're stable @ 1ohm.

Or, you can always test it out first - don't let the amp run for too long though during testing, only if it's running well do you keep going. Don't chance it if it starts going into protect at times, or if it gets extremely hot.

i just dont wanna fry the amp

You can test it fine - see how it runs. If it gets hot, or goes into protect, then you need a new amp. As in sell the kicker, get a 1 ohm stable amp, not as in the amp is fried.

However, I'd recommend getting a 1 ohm stable amp anyways. Better in the long run, methinks.
