I basically need to re wire my amp, so my power and ground wire will be coming out, and put back in. do i need to disconnect the battery while doing this? is there a cirtain order the battery terminals need to come off/go back on??

Thanks in advance.

Yes you need to disconnect the battery. If you only have one battery, disconnect the batt's negative first, then you can do whatever. Negative goes back on last. As far as connections to the amp, no it doesn't matter as there shouldn't be power flowing when you make those connections.

Im not 100% sure if you are asking about the batt terminals for reference of pos and neg or if you have multiple batteries...if the case is multiple batteries disconnect the main battery first

If you're not doing anything on the battery end then you can get by just pulling the fuse from your pos wire. If you're replacing the wires then always remove the ground terminal (neg) first as stated above.
