wiring 2 subs need suggestions

i noticed these in the forums and i need to know which is best. Setting it for 8ohm load or 2ohm load and please state the pro's and con's of each of the 2 set-ups.

if your amp can handle a 2 ohm load, then that would be your best choice. with this configuration, you'll be getting the most power out of your amp. using the 8 ohm configuration will prevent your amp from operating at it's full potential. however, if your amp can only use a 8 ohm load, then it will be your only option.

Bazooka ELA300.1 for 10 bucks i say it was worth it.

wiring it in a 2 ohm load is the best option. Here's your amps specs:

300x1@ 2 ohms so each sub will be getting 150 watts. What subs you got? RMS?

i have a B-52 but noticed some clipping and i know thw B-52 can;t handle the amp so i ordered Lanzar MAX12's this morning (about 3 minutesa ago) they are 1000 watts each with a total of 2000w.

Well, with that amp you are really going to underpower them. Like I said the amp will give each sub only 150 watts.

thats why for christmas i am getting a BAZOOKA RSA800.1D Monoblock Amp

so, if i hook up the 2 lanzar MAX12's to my burrent amp, will the sound still be good?

good sound is relative to the listener so if it sounds good to you doesn't matter what others think

nah it's the MAX12. The Optidrive series are WAY too expensive

oooooooooooohhhh ok i got messed up. U just ordered new subs and for christmas u are gettin and new amp.

OK i have never heard the sub by lanzar. But we could have reccomed a better setup. So about ur amp, we can also reccomened a better amp. THat amp will not handle an 1 ohm load. SO u would have to wire it to 8 ohms. And if that amp can handle that then u will not get any power our of it. So u will need an differnet amp,

not to mention i have heard thoes bazookas can get kinda hot.

so what ampw would you recommend me? I am looking that the Power Acoustik A2400DB and might change my desicion.
