SO if your truck was parked in front of your house unlocked. I needed milk but didnt want to waste my gas. I hot wired your car and got the milk, put it back exactly where I found it, didnt break anyhting while hot wiring it. And you were only out gas and a few miles on the vehicle you wouldnt be mad? I see this as the exact same thing as the internet. It may be unlocked, you may not be hurting my stuff. You are however still stealing something that I pay for and you are using my bandwith (just like the miles and gas with the car).

All the "I am a tough guy bish with lots of money, so worship me and do as I say" aside...

About three weeks ago, a case hit the supreme court about somebody stealing wireless bandwidth and a decision was handed down that the person who was stealing was prosecuted. So according to the court of law, it is illegal...

However, I say do what you want, I used to give free bandwidth myself until terrorists became more prevalent (or in the spotlight)...

ok jntar you even said it yourself I was THINKING about doing this and just this. I don't steal anything well except satellite. but like you said I would do this to save me close to a buck a day. If that means more money going into my investing then awesome more money for retirement. but since it brings on such a bug arguement I am not going to do this and I will continue to only be "stealing one thing and that is satellite

I pointed that out in the post. I just dont understand why people want to steal for it. Latly I have had to get on to myself for all the music I DL. I have since cut back to things that I just cant find. I know its wrong, I am atleast making an effort. I do spend countless hundreds of $$$ on BMG. So I am not just DLing. Infact I havent DL anything in quite a while. I have found a great little hole in the wall music store that I buy from if BMG doesnt have it.

I don't know...I just think people have too much of an expectation of privacy over the air. In your house or over landline is one thing - but broadcasting it to everyone in your neighborhood is another.

What if your truck was parked at school or not on your property?

As far as anyone is intitled to it if its in the environment. I just dont agree. Say I am watching TV, you have something very important to say to the neiborhood. Would that give you the right to jam out TVs and radio because its public air or public radio waves?

I think you have that frame of mind from all the radio stuff you do. I can understand where you are coming from. But just cause someone is an idiot, doesn't mean you should take advantage of them.
