SO why don't you go steal someones things out of their house? You're way of taking the easy way it seems pretty pathetic. You can have your money, id rather have some morals.

i dont think its actually illegal or "stealing" to borrow someones internet connection if they are unprotected. most people arent that stupid tho.

so its ok for someone to steal your car if ur doors aren't locked?

If you actually made 8k a month you wouldnt be asking us how to do it. You would either...

A)pay someone who knows how

or

B)not be a cheap skate and buy internet service

So therefor I beleive that you dont make 8k a month.

PS. you have no idea what I make so Id leave this one alone. Also, is $8k a month the USD or korean dollar? You are in South Korea correct?

A little two-syllable word called "ethics".

You could break into his house, patch your own cable into it, and steal his internet that way...and it would be still free. However, it's not an ethical thing to do.

My own views on wireless reception may not agree with everyone else's, because I personally think that if it's unencrypted and in the clear, the person transmitting it doesn't have an absolute right to privacy.

its called rigs there buddy pay is good very good. and kuijo about the if your dorrs are not locked and someone steals you car yes it is illegal but if tyhey wreck it you can't get any insurance or anything because your doors were not locked. and so how many people on here have free satellite TV?? same thing is it not??? and yes I do have that free direct TV and bell expressvu get canadain and amercian channels for free and is it ever nice.

And I do have morals there too whoop dee do its a signal pretty far away from stealing someones possessions there bud. And I work hard for the money I do make and it has taken along time to make this kind of money

no its different than my car unlocked. i mean that there are no laws concerning morons with unprotected internet . I have wireless but of course encrypted. i agree with jack, if it is there and unprotected, **** it and take it. same thing with satellite tv, if you can find the signal, u can get free tv.

No. DSS downlinks are encrypted - it's not the exact same issue.

If you want something to ***** about then look at all those **** that took advantage of the hurricane to go and swipe everything. I gotta go with Jack Frost on this one. If the guy put up a password, either look for internet elsewhere or guess passwords for 3 hours a day until you get it right.

If so, you're in business. Build an antenna for it, and hook up a small cable to connect it to your laptop...antennas for Wifi are generally very easy to build - I've got plans for a few. If you have a DSS satellite dish, those can be used to make really good wireless antennas

alright I am old enough to drink there bud and legally. And I have been wokring since I graduated highschool in January when I was 18. I moved up the rigs fast because we are on a triple and there are tons of people that can't keep up with the pace so there you get bumped up fast so of right now for well over a year and a half

10 miles is doable, if you're got the line of sight...get that beastie up on a roof-mounted tower about 20 or 30 feet off the ground, and your chances go up a lot. An old satellite dish with a circular patch feed could get you 20-24dBi of gain, which could be enough for that path.
