wireing coaxials in series?!

what would happen if i wires my 4 ohm 5x7 jl coaxials in series to create a 2 ohm load? orrr parallel for a 8 ohm load?

see im asking because my 4ch mtx 3004 has a blown channel. so im only useing 2chs for the fronts.

possible? or am i just retarded? both?

Series = 8ohms

Parallel = 2ohms

If the amplifier is stable at 2ohms you should be fine.
