//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I have two 6 1/2" in the front doors, as well as two 6 1/2" in the rear doors, I also have to 4"x10" in the top rear in the rear. I have two 12" DVC Pioneer Premiers(200 RMS/800PEAK) in a custom box to install. What amps should be used to have the proper power to all components.

........:::thanks:::............//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

my main concern is what type of amp (wattage of amp) to use to run the six speakers (2 front, 2 side rear, and 2 in the rear). then what would be the best amp to use on the two 12" DVC Pioneers (nickel plated, 200/800Peak)

When you go looking for amps make sure you stay close to the RMS of the speaker. The max power means nothing to you.

50RMS/260PEAK = Pioneer 6 1/2"s

200RMS/800PEAK = Pioneer DVC Nickel plated subs(wired in series)

35RMS/120PEAK = Pioneer 4"x10"

You have the speakers...what is your price range for amps? You may want to look into 2 4 channel amps to save some money. Lastly, what CD player are you using?

I am going to go with a new pioneer, as I like the control that they offer. Price range for the amps, well, not out the window in price, but i don't want to go cheap, as that is usually what you get if you buy cheap. Just whatever is thought to be best, as I have never hooked up a car that has three pairs of speakers, plus subs, only used to the two pairs, and my subs.

What are you trying to accomplish with the 4x10's in the rear deck? The four 6.5's should give you plenty of mid and high range. If you leave the 4x10's out of the rear deck you will leave holes for the bass from the subs to enter the cabin. If you leave them in the rear deck the subs are going to screw with them when they pressurize your trunk. Since you like Pioneer you may as well stay with them for your amps. Get a four channel that will give you 50-75 watts rms on each 6.5. Look for a two channel or mono amp for the subs that will give you around 400-500 watts rms on your subs. And you won't miss the 4x10's.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the input. I will give that a shot, and leave the 4"x10"'s out. In the Yukon, they have a cloth cover that cover them, so I guess, if I leave them out, nobody would ever know the difference, unless they put their big head up there to listen for them.

**** I didn't even notice it was a Yukon when I posted that. I was thinking a car of some sort with 4x10's in a rear deck. Anyway, makes no difference, you still don't need them. The four 6.5's and your subs should be good.

Well again, thanks for the suggestions. I will give it a shot. Hey, would you happen to know any sites where I can find pictures of any other 1999 GMA Yukons that people have put systems into?
