Wired everything up for my system active... doesn't work???

Alright here is my current set up:

Everything, to my knowledge, is set up correctly, but it looks as if the amps are getting no power. Neither of the power lights on the amps are turning on, and the protection lights aren't going on either.

Nothing works, is basically what happens. The HU powers up and works correctly, however.

I got out my DMM, and checked voltages, and there is appr 12.7v at every single point along the power wire, at the amps, at the distro, checked all grounds and everything with the voltage setting on my DMM... i don't know if that means it works or not, apparently not.

The specifics of my set-up are in my sig...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

lol dude!

on the back of your head unit - there is a wire that is blue with a white stripe (sometimes its just blue)

get your DMM, and test it againts a ground. if the CD player is off (car is on) and it says 12.x volts, thats good. if the car is on and the cdplayer is off, and it reads 0.0 volts, thats good.

when the CD plyer is on, it shoudl read 12.x volts - when the cd plyer is off - it should read 0.0 volts.

you need to wire this to the back of your car, and daisy chain it to your REM (remote) terminal.

you got your RCA's hooked in too right?

thanks alot req/acid, i dont know how i completely overlooked the remote wire... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

i'm just going to take a longer strand of my speaker wire, split it and use that for the REM wire... that should work right?

CJ.. you're funny //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif .

BTW- the speaker wire will work fine.
