Wire size..AMP to subs...AMP to Components

Well I am at the point of ordering wiring. I have a Sundown 1200D and a Sundown 125.2

I am ordering the Kicker PKD1 with 1/0 wire. But I also have to order wire to go from amp to subs. And from amp to crossovers to front doors. What size should I use?

I am GUESSING 12 guage for the comps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif But I am not sure. And the subs, I have no clue. It will only be like a 2 foot run for the subs, and the doors, maybe a 10-15 foot run.

12-14 for comps, 8 for subs

12ga should be fine for all of it. no need to over-do the subs.

8g isn't really necessary for that sub. When you get into higher loads on the sub, like 1500+ thats when you would likely need 8g. 12 should be fine.

Is this because its needed? Or is it the go big or stay home thing? If its the go big or stay home, I take it you run 1/0 to your subs and door speakers?

I guess now I should ask for recomendations on wire. I am trying to get all my wiring through sonicelectronics.com

I am getting the Kicker kit. SHould I match the speaker wire? Or is a little cheaper ok? I want to do this correctly, so I imagine the more expensive is better.

Is the more expensive better? Or is the Monster ok to get? I imagine for the runs to door and the runs to sub I need around 50 feet.

BTW - 16 would cover the comps.

For 1200w at 1 ohm 12 is actually pushing it. 10 would be better, or a doubled up run of 12.
