Wire size..AMP to subs...AMP to Components

BTW - 16 would cover the comps. For 1200w at 1 ohm 12 is actually pushing it. 10 would be better, or a doubled up run of 12.
I went to the site link you provided and saw that 10 was recommended, but 12 was just barely not recommended. I guess I could buy some 10 buy the foot, I only need a few feet for the subs. I might do the 10 like you say just to be safe.

16 would be easier to get into my doors, so that would be nice. Its two runs, so I should be fine using 16 after the cross overs?

IMO 12 would be fine, but if you want to do it right for the sake of doing it right 10 would be better, or like I mentioned you could just run double runs of 12 ga, that's equivalent to 9 ga.

16's plenty on the comps before or after the x/o. Actually 18 ga is just short of sufficient. Power is about the same on either side of the crossover, but on a long term basis it's lower after since the woofer sees less and less power above the x/o point, the tweeters get lower power below.

go big or go home...

I got 4/0 from front batt to rear batts (batcap 2Ks) to amp (XXX-6500D)

big3 in 2/0 (300a alt.)

4awg from amp to sub ("custom built" 15")

10awg for components (from P1800.4)

I guess now I should ask for recomendations on wire. I am trying to get all my wiring through sonicelectronics.comI am getting the Kicker kit. SHould I match the speaker wire? Or is a little cheaper ok? I want to do this correctly, so I imagine the more expensive is better.

They have 25 foot of Monster 12AWG for $14.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i...aker-wire.html

They have 20 foot of Kicker 12 awg for $20.99

They have 50 foot of monster 12ag for $34.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...02+2C+15M.html

Is the more expensive better? Or is the Monster ok to get? I

imagine for the runs to door and the runs to sub I need around 50 feet.
Lol, you think Monster is a low end off brand or something?

Knukonceptz might be a better price for 12 ga wire.

I never said it was low end or off brand. Please post where I did. I said it was cheaper than the ones that match my other wiring. I wanted to order all knuconceptz wiring, but I didnt like that the dual amp kit didnt have a ground distribution block. I didnt want to have to order everything seperate. So since I am ordering the rest of the wiring through sonic, I want to place one order. Shipping is more expensive for me, so I want to only pay one time.
